Well folks… We did it. Stevens and I had multiple people report the same thing to us: The festival was not only the best one we've had in a while, but that the excitement and energy from the festival's early years came back with a vengeance. Each and every one of you involved with the festival offered so much to make the festival a smashing success.
To the plethora of insanely talented musicians who graced the festival this year: Each and every one of you brought an extraordinary amount of talent and fun that made this year's event the smashing success it was. We could not have done it without you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
I truly cannot put into words how proud I am of each and every one of you. The quality of the performances I was able to catch was phenomenal. The energy and excitement you filled the rooms with was palpable. The flexibility to endure the heat and power outage is a testament to your professionalism. It's an honor to be able to work with all of you. Thank you.
To our fabulous volunteers: you are the movers and shakers of the festival. Your dedication and attention to detail paid off tremendously this year. From getting the festival venues set up to monitoring doors, from piano moving to judging and emceeing, y’all made everything move along efficiently and with ease. The festival needs you and your excellent work ethic more than you know. We could not have done it without you.
To our wonderful audience: you are the reason we hold this event. Without an audience, we cannot have a performance. The enthusiasm, love, and friendship you offer our immensely talented musicians and hard working volunteers is the heartbeat of the festival. It warms our hearts to see so many smiling faces having fun throughout the weekend. You are just as important as our musicians, volunteers, and organizers. Thank you for your continued support.
And to our fearless leaders, Stevens and Jan Price: Your efforts are so appreciated. Each and every one of us cannot thank you enough for your hard work and dedication to making this the best ragtime festival of the summer. Your love and respect for the music, town, and festival goers is evident and plentiful. Thank you for all you do.
