Susquehanna Hometown Days 5-K Race Dan Wolfe 5K This run/walk race encourages residents and visitors to participate in a fun, healthy and social event while supporting our community.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the Susquehanna Community Development Association “SCDA” (501c6) Events Committee who continue to strive to make our community a nicer and more welcome place for all. What does the SCDA and Susquehanna Borough accomplish together for our community?

• SCDA worked with local, regional, and state agencies acquiring grants to improve sidewalks, neighborhood hom

e and business facades, and the removal of blighted buildings.
• Decorating our downtown with flowers and festive holiday decorations during the year.
• Sponsors of the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony , and Breakfast with Santa which allows hundreds of our are young children and parents to participate in fun filled community events.
• Hometown Days – This 4 day event kicks off with a parade and includes a carnival, music, food, vendors, fireworks and the 5-K run.
• SCDA is also looking forward to partnering with the Susquehanna Borough to sponsor future “Rockin’ By The River” festival in celebration of our area music, arts and community at the future River Front Park.
• 13 acre, River Front Park development
• A comprehensive Blight Removal plan that is aimed at making our community a cleaner and safer environment for our neighborhoods. We are also very please to announce Falcon Timing that we will be using to calculate the winners. This will cut the time it took last year down significantly! No more waiting for hours to find out where you place. If you have any questions or would like more information, please send us a message! Attached is the 2025 Claire Williams O’Neil Foundation (CWOF) Newsletter. This year marks a significant milestone—the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Foundation’s scholarship program supporting the Susquehanna Community School District. Over the past twenty-five years, more than $1.4 million has been awarded to Susquehanna Community High School students, helping them pursue their academic and professional dreams.

This milestone would not have been possible without the continued support of our partners and community. With your assistance, the Foundation has expanded its impact beyond scholarships to include additional programs and initiatives that further support students and the broader community.
