Just a couple more "sleeps" 🛌 until the Summer in Surry, Local Art + Craft Market , THIS SATURDAY, July 18, from 10-4 pm at the Old Surry Village School! Put 7 Toddy Pond Road in your GPS, in the Town of Surry Maine, and away you go.
🌲Let us first feature our outdoor creators today!
We are expecting a gorgeous day, where you can stroll outside in the sun and shade near a babbling brook to:
🥮- Savor homemade pastries from Jules Creations - Micro Bakery.
🏺- Meet potters from Clay+Copper and Tigermoth Pottery, whose distinctive styles will enchant you.
🦞- Get to know Tracy J Eisenhauer, a Surry, Maine painter, whose Maine-inspired paintings, prints, cards, home goods, and tees can be found in local shops, like SeaLoft in Blue Hill, Maine, and boutiques across New England.
👨🏫- Learn from the author, Surry Historical Society president, and Old Surry Village School board member, who will be selling and signing copies of his "Tales Once Told in Town: Eyewitness History in a Coastal Maine Village."
👩🎨- See the techniques of old master painters demonstrated by Surry summer resident and classically trained artist, Helen Hutchison, and become enraptured by her nature-inspired paintings and prints.
👩🍳- Find your new favorite recipe from local caterer, entertainer, cookbook author, and Surry resident, Donna Doyen, of Newbury Neck Road (her signed cookbooks will be for sale at the Far & Away, Maine booth).
🐋 - Have a whale of a time with Tonyia Peasley, the_fishers_wife of Instagram fame, whose wood carvings of whales, fish, and fishermen will make you smile (and want to take one home with you!)
👛 - Meet the very talented and effervescent fashion designer, home-designs maker, and curator behind Hanna B. Designs. You will want to B. That Girl, and Hanna Persson, will encourage you to have fun, get inspired, enjoy a fashion lift from her collections, and most of all, B. You.
We cannot wait to see you there, and meet every member of this lovely Facebook and Instagram community that has come together to celebrate Summer in Surry and support our local, Maine artists, makers, writers, bakers, and more!
