The Huntington Beach Independence Day Celebration is more than just the 4th of July — it's a THREE-DAY celebration of America 250!

While everyone is excited for our amazing Independence Day Block Party on July 4th featuring live entertainment, food, drinks, and headliner Redneck Rodeo, the fun begins on July 3rd and continues through July 5th at the Pier Plaza Festival.

Our live music lineup helps kick off the celebration on July 3rd and closes out the holiday weekend on July 5th, with performances from local favorites, rising stars, and crowd-pleasing bands throughout the weekend.

The Round Canopy Parachuting Team - USA recently traveled to Normandy, France, to commemorate the 82nd Anniversary of D-Day. Alongside fellow team members from across the United States and around the world, they participated in memorial ceremonies, school visits, community events, and historic round canopy parachute jumps from iconic C-47 aircraft, honoring the brave Allied soldiers who fought to preserve freedom.

We are especially honored that the team carried a Huntington Beach flag during one of their commemorative jumps over Normandy, connecting our community to one of the most significant moments in world history.

Please join us in welcoming the Round Canopy Parachuting Team - USA to the 122nd Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade, where they will help us celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and legacy of the Greatest Generation.

The Huntington Beach Independence Day Event is proud to announce our 2026 Home Decorating Contests, giving residents the opportunity to showcase their creativity, community spirit, and patriotic pride.

City-Wide Decorating Contest
One winner will be selected from each Huntington Beach ZIP code:

Main Street Parade Route Decorating Contest
Open to homes along the parade route from the 600 Block of Main Street to 17th Street.

- Decorate your home in this year's theme: America 250
- Win great prizes, including reserved parade viewing tickets, gift cards, and special awards!
- Judging takes place on Friday, July 3, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Awards will be presented beginning at 3:00 PM
