Come hear Shueh-li perform on Tuesday, November 29th, at 7:00 pm, at the Art Institute/Sunnyvale. Shueh-li is from Singapore, and is a well-known Therminist/Synthesist.

Very much enjoyed last night! Jack Hertz gave a great introduction to personal computer-based synthesis starting with the Apple II, and then played a lovely set...never muddily, beautifully set throughout the human sonic range, showing a great command of a variety of programs controlled by his iPad interface. Jack then spent a good amount of time talking with a cluster of Art Institute freshman Game Designers, explaining what he was doing and letting them try their hand with the iPad. After that, Jack and I improvised together for about half an hour, me on looping MIDI guitar, and he on his portable system. When we were done, Jack's hardware packed into his single backpack, and off he went. Thanks to all who came, the night was a kick.

Jack will be demonstrating his use of the iPad as a performance controller. Robert will be looping live, performing with MIDI guitar and Boomerang. Good variety on Friday night!
