Bowls Mart Really Big Buy Back Event : Seriously, this event is so BIG, we will be running it over two days. On Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29 from 11 am till 1 pm I will be at the Bell Lawn Bowling club buying back used bowls. Let me be clear, not every bowl, but anything date stamped within the past 25-30 years, will be considered. Those old super grips and all of the black and brown bowls from the 80's have almost no value. They are good to use in building practice heads.
One of the oddities of bowls is this: When they sit in a closet, cupboard or garage, they lose value. When I buy bowls, the first thing I look at is the date stamp. Unlike a fine wine, bowls do not become more valuable as they age. That said, we've always paid fair prices for any bowls we buy and this event will be no different. Even if you have colored bowls that are cracked, I buy them cheap and sell them cheap.
BowlsMart was started in the early 2000's, and has been a service for bowlers for all these years. I would argue, we currently have the best selection and collection of bowls in all of North America. We've recently lost our Drake Pride distributor and we will be sorting through options this summer. We have roughly 130 sets of bowls in stock, but I would love to add another 20 or 30 sets during this buyback.
Stop by and see us; to buy, sell or trade.
Bill Pearson and Irene DeBrock;
your humble bowls servants.
PS: For those of you who noted an odd odor on our greens last week, that was from a liberal dose of chicken manure. I was as shocked as most, but here is what AI had to say: " Chicken manure is applied to Arizona lawn bowling greens to provide nutrient-rich, organic fertilization and improve soil structure in challenging desert conditions . As a high-nitrogen, slow-release fertilizer, it promotes dense, dark green grass growth while increasing water retention, which is crucial for maintaining lush, durable greens in hot climate."
