As the Chair of the Foundation, it is my duty to participate or acknowledge the activities of the committees that are a part of the Foundation. Yet I'm accused of participating only in events that are beneficial to me?!.. Invited to the AAC dinner in Chicago and paying for a date to join me! Would have attended the AAC dinner at the Church of Scientology at Fort Harrison in Clearwater, Fl, if my work schedule would have allowed. I've heard so many things about that institution. Yes, the Academy of Chefs is a part of the Foundation. .Supporting Team USA in Stuttgart as they too are a part of the Foundation, hence my oversight. Incidentally, no other members of the Board have ever gotten a trip paid for by membership except the President and the Chair.
The management of the Team and I have repeatedly requested the financials for the Team's expenses, even more so after being told they overspent by 20K! To date, there is nothing to show it.
What is a report if the financial information isn't there? A tour guide, perhaps?...
I am the only BOD member who accepted the invitation to be of service to our current and future members by supporting our culinary youth and judging at the national Skills USA finals in Atlanta.
I am also told that I don't add value, that I almost always vote against their initiatives. Cannot apologize for having my own point of view on what is put on the agenda. I guess blind obedience was the requirement?...Seems so now.
