Your department’s history is worth saving.

The photos on the wall. The old trucks. The members who came before you. The calls that shaped your department. The stories that only a handful of people still remember.

One day, somebody is going to wish they had it.

That’s why Hackworth Fire Collection is opening our books for 2027.

If your department has boxes of photographs, old albums, negatives, newspaper clippings or other pieces of history collecting dust, let us preserve them before they’re lost.

And if you don’t have any old history at all, that’s okay. Let’s start now. The photos and stories you create today will be the history your department looks back on 50 years from now.

We travel across West Virginia preserving fire and EMS history, and we do it because we believe these stories deserve to be remembered.

Know a fire department that needs to see this? Share this post with them.

Maybe the department that sees this today will still have its history 50 years from now.

Message Hackworth Fire Collection on Facebook or email [email protected] to get your department on the schedule.

The West Virginia Fire Expo is excited to officially announce the dates for the 2027 West Virginia Fire Expo!

We held our first planning meeting today, and we’ve got some exciting ideas already in the works. Our first Expo taught us a lot, and we’re taking everything we learned to make 2027 even bigger and better.

Thank you to everyone who supported our first event. We can’t wait to welcome firefighters, EMS personnel, vendors, and supporters from across the state back for the 2027 West Virginia Fire Expo. Stay tuned… there’s a lot more to come!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been almost a week since the first West Virginia Fire Expo!

We had an awesome weekend and loved getting to meet so many of you.

If you took any pictures during the expo, post them in the comments. We’d love to see the event through your eyes!

Also, if you have any ideas or suggestions for next year, let us know below. We’re already talking about ways to make it even bigger and better.

And trust us… we’re just getting started.

And that’s a wrap on the first West Virginia Fire Expo. We’re truly blown away by the turnout, the support from vendors, breakout session speakers, and the number of fire departments represented by their members throughout the weekend. It was great to see so many members of the fire service from across the state come together under one roof.

What started as an idea turned into an incredible weekend of networking, education, fellowship, and support for the fire service. We hope this is just the beginning, and we look forward to seeing the Expo continue to grow year after year.

Thank you to everyone who attended, visited the vendors, participated in the events, and helped make this first year such a success.

Be sure to keep an eye on our page next week. We may have something big in the works. 😉
