Acorn Ridge Reception Barn

We’ve been busy… The all new Acorn Ridge is a go! Many aspects of the barn will be the same, our wood walls for instance. However, the barn itself is larger.

Here are some completed pictures of the slab, over 125 yards of concrete in one pour. Thank you Whitfield Concrete & Jones and Sons for working us in with rain chances everyday.

Below are a few peaks, the final floor plans, and 3D designs for planning purposes.

I’ll update more as I can, things are moving quickly.

So here is where I could use some help. While we wait on the rebuilding, I need to also “rebuild” my decorations. As some of you know I had a room packed full of decor napkins linens etc. With that I am on the hunt to replicate that as much as possible as most of the couples I have are depending on that.

So if you or someone you know has recently been married or has had an event etc. that’s looking to sell their decor please send them my way! I am trying to stay around what I previously had.

Cleanup is full steam ahead, you can’t even tell a barn was there now. While I’m afraid I can’t salvage the one napkin I found, I am lucky enough to have some fantastic looking outdoor spaces. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, donated, shared our story, sent prayers, and supported our family during this difficult time.

A huge thank you to all of the businesses, donors, volunteers, friends, and family who helped make the benefit possible. The kindness our community has shown means more than words can express. We are beyond grateful for every single person who played a part.

We are also thankful to share that we have officially received approval from our insurance company to begin cleanup and construction, and work will begin tomorrow. While there is still a long road ahead, this is a huge step forward and gives us so much hope moving ahead.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we start this next chapter. We will never forget the love and support this community has shown us.

I plan to periodically post updates, designs, and plans on here of the barn build as I am able.

We have a ton of food left! Spaghetti with meatballs, chicken Alfredo, salad and a drink. Please come and eat!!! $5 a plate until we are out, kids are free.

Today from 2pm - 7pm is the Acorn Ridge Reception Barn Benefit Car Show, Silent Auction, and Vendor Fair at the Dugger Community Building.

There are a ton of amazing cars outside to checkout as well as a great group of local small business vendors.

Inside the building we have a massive silent auction, and a Spaghetti/Alfredo dinner by Union Station Cafe

Come enjoy a beautiful afternoon, I am in the kitchen, and Jake’s working the car show. I’d love to see everyone! ❤️

Thank you WTHI-TV for taking the time to come out and speak to us this week. I am blessed with the best group of friends, family, and fellow business owners who have come together to plan a benefit. All proceeds from this will go towards the many unexpected costs from the fire. I am incredibly thankful to everyone who has had a part in this.

I want to wish a happy prom day to all the students at DUCS this evening! While I am upset today’s event had to be relocated due to the fire, I am looking forward to getting to host their prom next May. Hope everyone has a safe and memorable night ✨💫
