The City of Sugar Land's annual event moved to the new Sugar Land Festival Site and was larger than ever before!

Activities included a children's zone featuring inflatables, face painting and photo opportunities, entertainment and fireworks! Austin's modern party band, Satellite, took the stage along with appearances from DJ/Drummer Don Vaughn and Svet, an electro hip hip violinist.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the City's new destination venue, Sugar Land Festival Site, and new City park, Brazos River Park, was held on March 4, 2017 with the 9th Annual Cultural Kite Festival. An estimated 8,000 people enjoyed casual and competitive kite flying, chalk art contests, cultural performances, food trucks and much more!
