🇺🇸 Remembering D-Day – June 6, 1944 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy 82 years ago and changed the course of history.

Their courage in the face of overwhelming odds secured the freedoms we enjoy today. Many never returned home, sacrificing everything for future generations they would never meet.

As members of the American Legion family, we remember their service, their sacrifice, and their unwavering commitment to liberty. Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free and that the price of liberty has always been paid by those willing to stand in its defense.

Please take a moment today to reflect on the heroes of D-Day and all who have served our nation.

We remember their sacrifice. We honor their courage. We will never forget.

At American Legion Post 127, we know that not all wounds are visible.

Many veterans carry the weight of service long after the uniform comes off—stress, loss, transition challenges, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other struggles that often go unseen. This month, we encourage every veteran, service member, and family member to remember one simple truth:

You are not alone.

Strength isn’t staying silent. Strength is checking in on a buddy, having a difficult conversation, asking for help when you need it, and supporting those around you.
