Two Maples planted at the same time; but with two very different outcomes.

This Lancaster project included the removal of one Maple that had leafed out last year; but never budded this season. It’s a good reminder that a tree can still produce leaves while it’s declining—and leafing out alone doesn’t always mean a tree is structurally sound or healthy long-term.

The second maple received canopy elevation, a thorough comb-through to remove deadwood and problematic growth, and cabling to help support a large second lead growing toward the house.

Tree care isn’t always just about removals. Sometimes it’s knowing when a tree needs to come down; and when another can be managed with the right pruning and support.

This winter kept us on our toes! Between snow, freezing temperatures, and unpredictable conditions, scheduling often meant working around whatever Mother Nature allowed. We truly appreciate the flexibility and patience our customers showed as we navigated the season safely.

March’s extended forecast is looking promising, with temperatures consistently reaching the mid-to-upper 50s. While warmer weather is welcome, Spring also brings its own challenges—especially saturated ground conditions that can impact access and timing for tree work.

We’re looking forward to longer days, more sunshine, and settling back into a steady rhythm.

This before-and-after highlights a Locust removal completed during a brief stretch of Winter relief. The tree wasn’t the original reason for the visit; but visible signs of decline prompted a closer look. After removal, internal hollowing at the base and cracking within two major leads confirmed the recommendation was the right call.

Same float, new vibe! 🌲

With the boss climbing this year, the float had a whole new level of energy—and the reactions along the route said it all. Fun bonus: the Eagle-Gazette gave us a spotlight in their parade coverage. 📸📰

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the community with us! If you’re thinking ahead on tree care, we work through the winter (as ground conditions allow)—and it’s actually one of the best times to prune.

Huge thanks to Snokee's Autoglass. We were in a pinch on time after a little mishap this week. They had a windshield, for a 30 year old truck, in stock— changed it out in 20 minutes!! We don’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend.
