A tiny bit of history about the Assabet River National Wildlife- an interesting book about the origins of the ARNWR and the stories of the families who lived there before.

Something new for 2026....runners in the six hour race are allowed to have a pacer after 1pm. Pacers can help keep you at your targeted pace, whisper words of sweet encouragement and remind you to eat. All great things to help you reach the finish line!

There is no fee for pacers to participate and they are encouraged to use the aid station food, but they must sign in when they arrive.
