STUDIO 330 is owned and operated by Hans Christian in a historic building in downtown Sturgeon Bay, WI, in the heart of Door County. The studio offers a relaxed atmosphere, guest quarters, a yoga studio, and most importantly, excellent equipment and expertise to record, mix, master, and produce recording projects for independent artists; also voice-over projects and many other music related work.

The future of American shipbuilding, as described in this NBC news report. Since I live right across from a shipyard that is supposed to build a frigate I am taking extra interest in this topic. South Korea’s Hanwha just bought the Philly shipyard in Philadelphia and will invest heavily to build American navy vessels. The future of the American shipbuilding seems to be in expanding East Coast shipyards with South Korean funding and expertise. Robotic welding will replace workers more and more. The narrative that our shipyard will provide hundreds of additional job is, and always has been, a fictional tale.

Could massive investment by South Korea be the key to navigating America out of maritime decline?

I found this photo of a recent recording session at STUDIO 330 with Memphis based guitarist Eric Lewis and the WI based Griffon String Quartet. The recordings turned out beautifully! The playing was stellar, we had a lot of fun, and (I think...) because of the successful session there might be more!
