Hollywood star visits local malt shop while filming in Marine on St. Croix
Welcome to our hallmark town life, Nicolas Cage !
Nicolas Cage, booth 11 at Leo's Grill & Malt Shop in Stillwater, 5pm on Monday Oct. 12, 2026. He ordered a Chocolate Malt. We did our best to serve him just like everyone else… yep he too received the “extras in the tin”.
Nicolas Cage won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1996 for his role as a self-destructive writer in ‘Leaving Las Vegas’ (1995). And was nominated for the same awards for his Leading Role in ‘Adaptation’ (2002)
He is in the Stillwater filming “Parish”. Cage plays a hardened survivor living in a fortified compound with attack dogs 30 years after a nuclear apocalypse. His strict rule of never letting anyone inside is tested when a woman with an infant arrives, drawing the attention of a band of cannibals. Sounds awesome, can’t wait to see it.
Mr Cage, Thank you for visiting Downtown Stillwater and our restaurant. I am sure our staff was a little star-struck, but we hope you and your family enjoyed your time together. If you would like another Chocolate Malt (or lunch/ dinner) but don’t want the crowds; I will personally deliver to your location.
Thanks for coming,
