The mission of Security Specialists Inc. is to ensure a safe and secure environment by providing courteous, conscientious security guards and supervisors who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our clients. Security Specialists offers a wide range of event services. We can handle small events to large venues, and are happy to design a customized solution for you.
1. Security Officers must possess excellent verbal communication skills. Being an effective communicator is key for success.
2. Since events are ever changing-S/O's will be asked to work various shifts, requiring a great deal of standing for long hours.
3. S/O's will look for any potential crowd control issues, discovering problems before they occur. Did I say the need for strong verbal skills?
4.S/O's- need to have command presence/leadership skills. They have to see the event through a wider lens. Tunnel vision just won't suffice.
5. S/O's- must regulate & control access points to sensitive areas throughout the arena. Credentialing/vetting is key. Knowing who is permitted where & why. Everyone gets credentialed, even the CEO.
6. S/O's need to quickly respond to any potential crowd control issues, break up fights, provide escorts of unruly fans when ejections are warranted. Did I mention S/O's should know the Codes of Conduct?
7. S/O's need to properly screen patrons during ingress through the use of metal arches, bag searches, & hand wanding techniques. Effective screening measures are essential within the confined space. "Security Theater" won't suffice.
8. S/O's will at times have to deal with hostile, intoxicated patrons in the safest way possible. Did I mention the ability to de escalate situations?
9. S/O's need to write accurate detailed reports which could later be used for criminal/civil litigation proceedings. Proper tracking of incidents is key for quality control, thereby best protecting the organization. Maintaining accurate records is key.
10. S/O's will provide for a safe environment & must be professional in their dealings with the well paying patrons. The fans deserve nothing less.
