Meet our Artists!

First-time booth Moss & Marrow Handcrafts, from Laurel Barton & Maranda Duncan, won Runner-Up for Best 3D Artist Booth AND Staff Favorite Booth at this year’s Dancing Turtle Arts Festival!

Their work features moss, bones, stones, chainmail, beading, and so much more- and their booth is a whole vibe too!

We can’t wait to see them late this year at Halfway to St. Paddy’s Day Celtic Festival (September 26) and next year at Dancing Turtle! 🌿🦴🐢

She offers on-site customization for hats of all types, with patches and jewelry for every taste… even Dancing Turtle-themed patches in a collaboration with our swag booth! She also offers a variety of handmade quilted bags, repurposing old quilts into wearable, useable works of art! Put “Design in Motion” into action by creating your own stylish accessory with Aunty D’s next year! 🧢🐢

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Stillwater Community Center for their tireless dedication in helping us pull off Dancing Turtle each year!

From our inception, the festival has relied on the community center as its central hub. This was especially true this year when inclement weather forced us to consolidate as many of our activities as possible indoors. The staff at the community center have always been unfailingly patient and accommodating, working long days to ensure that the facility is clean and safe for all of the festival goers. Their flexibility with the last minute pivots required by this year’s festival was yet another example of how they go above and beyond for us.

We appreciate all that you do behind the scenes to help things run smoothly!

We hope you are still feeling the glow of Dancing Turtle a week later- we sure are! At its heart, our mission says it all: “Art Building Community”. Looking back at this year’s festival, we see this brought to light in countless ways. Thank YOU for building community alongside us as we celebrate the arts.

As we look ahead to 2027 and our FIFTH year of Dancing Turtle, we cannot wait to continue to grow and create together. We welcome your support- let’s make year five the best one yet!

The Stillwater History Museum came through for us at the last minute, when the rain threatened our musicians at Stonecloud,

Cat De Araujo jumped in to save the day. We ended up with a beautiful venue and laid the groundwork for future partnerships!

Keep an eye out for more Dancing Turtle happenings next year!

Every year, the High School Art Competition is a crowd favorite!

The competition is organized and set up by Shannon Peters. We couldn’t be more impressed by her students and the incredible works of art they submit to the contest, year after year.

Thank you, Shannon, for your continued support of our festival!

Thank you so much to our incredible music sponsors: Ron & Cara Beer for Rock Academy, Simmons Bank, BancFirst, and KICKER.

Our music program wouldn’t exist without the support of these incredible sponsors. The reason we are able to bring in so many local artists is due to your generous contributions and we are so grateful!
