A Different Kind of Show 💡➡️⚽️

From Light Shows to the Pitch—Something New is Coming to Stewartville!

Hey, Manning Light Show family! 💡 Usually, my posts here are all about pixels, controllers, and holiday magic. But today, I’m wearing a different hat—one that’s just as focused on building something great for our community.

As many of you know, I’ve been working with a dedicated team of locals to launch Stewartville FC, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth soccer club. Our mission is simple: Players over Profits. We want to provide a premier soccer experience for our kids right here at home.

I’m sharing this here because I know how much this community supports local initiatives. If you have kids entering grades 3–12 this Fall (2026-2027 school year), or just want to see what we’re building for the future of Stewartville sports, I’d love for you to join us this weekend.

Join me and the SFC Board for our Inaugural Parent Information Meeting:

📅 This Sunday, April 12th
🕕 6:00 PM
📍 Stewartville High School PAC

We’ll be revealing our Fall 2026 roadmap, our coaching philosophy, providing a sneak peek at the new uniform kits, and fielding questions about the club.

If you don't have soccer players in the house, please Share this post! Let’s make sure every family in town knows they have a new high-level, home-grown option for their athletes.

See you at the PAC!

— Joe Manning
President, Stewartville FC

Just like that, the 2025 Manning Light Show is over.

Thank you all so much for all of the kind messages, compliments in passing, and gifts left at the front door; an even bigger thank you to anyone that was able to make a donation to Family Service Rochester! We are blessed to live in such a fantastic, supporting, and cheerful community! If you are interested in making a donation and have not yet been able to, please see the link below:

As I look outside at the lights and prepare for the not so enjoyable task of tearing everything down and putting it is storage, I gathered a few end of season stats to share. Do you wonder how many interact with the website while viewing the show? Curious to see which songs are the favorites? Well, wonder no more!

From our family to all of yours, I hope you have a fantastic 2026!

I am having an issue with the main show controller, so the show will be down for the remainder of the evening. I'll work to have things back up and running tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for the understanding!

The weekend before Christmas and a component of the show has failed. Fortunately it's not a show critical component; the lights, music, website, and TVs will all still work! However, the projector displaying show information on the side of the detached garage is down until a replacement part arrives.

If anyone in the Stewartville area has a Raspberry Pi (any version) that is not in use and available for borrow/purchase, please let me know via DM. Thanks!

Prior to the start of the 2025 show season, I decided to partner with Family Service Rochester to help spotlight the importance of mental health awareness. As the Stewartville community struggles through recent events, this partnership couldn't have come at a more appropriate time.

Mental health struggles hit everyone at various stages of life, and yet they are never talked about. Having experienced the full spectrum of highs and lows in my own life, I want to assure you that if you are struggling, you are not alone. Reach out for help if you are in need.

Watch the video below to catch a message from Family Service Rochester and the song joy. by for King & Country - another new addition to the show this year, which is also the first non-Christmas specific song of the show.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

With an abundance of new page followers and viewers, it's time to share a few notes on viewing the show:

1. Park in a spot as indicated in the green on the map in the map view picture in this post; do not park in red spots. Pull all the way to the side of the road to allow traffic pass-thru.

2. Turn headlights off.

3. Tune your radio to 95.1FM or download the PulseMesh mobile app and select the Manning Light Show.

4. (Optional) Scan the QR code on the TV and head to the show website to select a song.

5. (NOT Optional!) Enjoy the show!

Bonus pro tip: there is one parking spot that is better than them all! As shown in the second picture (yes, that's me recording the show 😅), pull up until the middle candy cane is lined up with the center mega tree. All sequence effects are rendered with this view and will look the best viewed from this angle and distance.

It's that time of year!!!

The 2025 Manning Light Show located on Maplebrook Dr. NE, Stewartville, MN will debut this Friday, Black Friday, and will run nightly until New Year's Day.

Show hours are as listed below:

Sun-Thu - 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Fri-Sat - 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day - 4:30 pm to 11:30 pm

A lot has changed for this year's show, so please see the notes below prior to coming out:

Mental Health Awareness -

The Manning Light Show is proud to raise awareness for mental health this holiday season!

As the show’s audience continues to grow, we want to put those views to good use. This year, the Manning Light Show will feature messages promoting mental health awareness between songs. These messages aim to remind us all of the importance of prioritizing mental well-being. We’re honored to partner with Family Service Rochester in this effort.

One way we can make a difference is by connecting people to resources and encouraging support for those in need. We invite you to consider donating to Family Service Rochester, an organization that provides counseling and therapy sessions to everyone-regardless of ability to pay.

Parking -

As you come into the neighborhood on Maplebrook Drive, drive all the way past the show area, turn around and park on the opposite side of the street. Please avoid parking on the show side of the street. This will both ensure your best viewing experience (the show is designed to be viewed from a further distance for full display effects, this is key!!) while also allowing traffic to pass without issue.

Viewing -

Once you are parked, turn off your headlights, tune your car radio to 95.1 FM (or download the mobile app PulseMesh) and head to the show website included in this post (or scan the QR code on one of the two displays in the show). The show website will allow you to use the jukebox style selection screen to pick your favorite songs to be played.

Songs -

There are 24 songs this year totaling over an hour of playtime. Rather than playing all songs on a loop, only 6 songs will play automatically per night. The 6 songs in the mix will be the most requested songs from the week prior, with the first week songs being my hand picked favorites of the group. If you have a favorite song and it's not in the weekly mix, don't worry, the website will allow you to manually select any of the 24 at any time during show hours.

Updates -

Please keep track of this page for any show updates, as there surely will be some throughout the show season. The show has a lot of moving parts and things are bound to fail and require fixing. Any known downtime posted here. At that, if you are at the show and see something that doesn't look right, please send a message to this Facebook Messenger account so things can be fixed again as they should be.

There has been a lot of time and money into this show, and that is done to help spread Christmas cheer. Please share this page and show information to others that you feel may be interested in checking it out. The hope is that watching the show will make others smile in the same way that it does us every time we watch it.

Thanks for following the page, and I hope you enjoy the show!

The show won't be up until Friday, but website testing is in progress. If you're in the neighborhood, stop by and give it a try. Pick a song, see if it plays and the TV displays the correct song. Try the PulseMesh mobile app while you're at it. Report back with any issues. 😀

Note the radio station change for this year. As 88.1 FM is now being broadcast on locally, the show has been moved to 95.1 FM.
