For our local players who are not playing this weekend, we welcome volunteers wanting to come out and help us entertain 210 of the midwests best players. plenty of opportunity to watch some great disc golf. Check in at the lodge.

The advanced and pro divisions for this tournament are full. We always work on a first come basis and attempt to be as fair as possible

There are still plenty of spots for the intermediate weekend.

I got there early
The gate was still locked
But I just couldn't wait to throw my Roc
So I ditched my car and walked up to East 1
And watched my disc fly and gleam in the sun

When Randy gets there
The first thing he does
Is put on good music that won't harsh your buzz
The chill players' meeting is never rehearsed
Then 200 players on the course are dispersed

If you haven't played Standing Rocks Open
You haven't experienced fun
The rocks and the trees, and the trees, and then more trees
And a special black disc to be won

The thrill of the throw and
The stress of the putt
The smack of the tree you can feel in your gut
The friendships, the stories, breath-taking ace runs
Don't even begin to describe the fun

Your drive hits the cage, then turns up and rolls
Almost twice as far away from the hole
You can't find the fairway and your buddies all say
"You're having a true Standing Rocks kind of day"

If you haven't played Standing Rocks Open
You haven't experienced fear
The rocks and the trees, and the trees, and then more trees
But at least when you're done there'll be beer

Back when K-Man and Barry, Leviska, and Gill
All took our breath when they threw down the hill
Nineteen years later, the tourney's still going strong
Standing Rocks is where true golfers belong
