Stetsonville Volunteer Fire Department – Public Statement

On the night of April 25th, the Stetsonville Volunteer Fire Department was paged out for an emergency call. Upon arrival at the fire station, crew members discovered signs that someone had attempted to break into the building through one of the doors.

The incident is believed to have occurred between Thursday, April 23rd at 10:00 PM and Saturday, April 25th at 10:30 PM.

At this time, no items appear to be missing. The incident has been reported to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department.

We want to remind the community that our department is fully volunteer-based. Our firefighters respond to calls without pay, dedicating their time and effort to protect and serve the Stetsonville and surrounding communities.

While this incident is concerning, we ask anyone with information to please contact the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department.
