Our Legendary Preston Bronxson
Super excited to make the list!! You know, looking at this list of names, a few things strike me. First, what a group of guys! Some of them are my buddies, some of them are guys that I really, really admire and look up to and some of them I haven’t had the privilege to meet yet. One thing we all have in common is that we work our butts off to make sure every production we are involved in goes as good as it can! Some folks see a bunch of names. I see THOUSANDS of miles and a lot of sacrifices to be at a whole bunch of rodeos. Every one of us prayed for the opportunity to work. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of that when we’re making a 1000 mile trip to go to the next one. Seeing my name in amongst the others reminds me of all of the cool places I got to take my family to this year. It also reminds me of all of the good times behind the scenes with all of the great announcers, bullfighters, stock contractors, committee members and every one else that we hung out with this year! I’m super thankful for the life that God has blessed me with. I’m thankful to my family for supporting the effort that it takes to rodeo this hard. I’m thankful for the committees and the contractors that believe in my abilities and trust me to work their events. I don’t take it lightly and I appreciate EVERY performance that I get to be a part of! Seeing my name on a cool list is awesome but I’m reminded of something that one of my mentors told me: you can’t judge your success by awards won, you judge yourself by the performances you work and the way your calendar looks. I say also from how tired you are by this time of the year too! 😂
From the first time Hunter Allen asked me to come sort cattle at a rodeo to where I am getting to work today has been one crazy journey and the best part is, the road goes on forever! See y’all in Vegas and I can’t wait to visit with my buddies! God Bless!
