Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Harvey Milk, a trailblazing LGBTQ+ leader whose courage and advocacy helped change the course of American History.

At a time when LGBTQ+ rights continue to face coordinated attacks across the country, Harvey Milk's words remain as urgent and powerful as ever: freedom and dignity should never be up for debate.

This Harvey Milk Day, we honor the generations of LGBTQ+ people who fought for visibility, equality, and the freedom to live openly.

We have partnered with the incredible creator of the The Kindness Rocks Project (Leesburg, VA) to plan a show-stopping art display straight from the Garden that will allow everyone at the Loudoun Pride Festival to spread their own positive, artistic rocks around the county. Our relationship with the County's artists is so important as art is one of the defining facets of the modern q***r movement!

There are only two days left to comment on the proposed FCC guidelines that would label gender identity as a harmful TV restriction. This action could require television shows to more highly rate any show with a transgender or non-binary individual, limiting exposure and restricting equality.

"The criminalization and censorship of transgender individuals is abhorrent. It must be rejected. Transgender people are just citizens who are trying to live their lives in peace with the same representation, dignity, and equality afforded to everyone else in this country. We implore you not to enact censorship guidelines specific to gender identity, there should be no second class citizens in the United States of America."
