Sterling Club Acoustic Music / Bluegrass Jam Sterling Golf Club Jam is EVERY Second Sunday, 6 PM Sterling Golf Club Jam, in the heart of Sterling Park, is held EVERY Second Sunday, 6 PM until about 9 PM.

We play on the porch, weather permitting. The beer is cold, the music is hot, and musicians are darn good lookin'. Well, at least their spouses are, and the rest of us sure used to be. Bring the better half and a bunch of your friends. It's THE social event of every month in Sterling! The music is a little bit bluegrass, a little bit blues, a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll. Mos

tly acoustic, but plug-in, if you need. The Bluegrass police are off-duty at this jam! The restaurant serves good food (great burgers), with beer service. You may bring your own bottle of unopened wine or spirits for set ups, but ABC rules state that it cannot be retreived once placed. No brown bag lunches, please. Lots of free parking. Please note: This is a bar environment, with all that could possibly entail. That is, you may hear spicy language, or, if you are really lucky, see live dirty dancing, and who knows what else. Usually it's pretty tame, but that's all happened in the past. Fair warning, OK? Sounds like more fun than a truck load of banjos in a car crusher, right? So, c'mon down and pick. Sterling Golf Club Jam - POSTPONED until Spring of 2014

The Sterling Golf Club has had to significantly reduced their winter operating hours, which means that we cannot host this jam at the club until next spring (hopefully March).

Our apologies, but please return to the pickin' porch and the nice weather in the Spring of 2014.

If we can find another venue that is suitable, we'll resume the regular schedule. Nothing on the radar, yet. I have also notified Bill Foster at DCBU.org for an edit to the jam listings page.

If you like the Stringdusters, Railroad Earth, Trampled by Turtles,
Yonder Mountain, etc, then you'll have a new favorite band.

$10 cover charge requested. Beer (draft and bottles) served, come
early, the dining room will be open before the show. Members can place
liquor and wine with the bar, but it is not removable (See me to place
bottles).

MOVED TO B CHORD BREWING!!!!

To all of our jam buddies. - The old Sterling Golf Club Jam is EXTINCT! It was great picking on the porch for 14 or so years. Thanks to all who attended this jam at the Club. The Sterling Golf Club jam has moved to B Chord Brewing https://www.facebook.com/bchordbrewing

Note that this is open format acoustic jam, for mixed genre music. Think Blues/Americana/Roots/Country/Folk/Acoustic rock/Swing, etc. This is not an electric blues jam. To keep things simple, there will be very limited access to plug in. If you need an amp, a battery-powered one is advised, played respectfully, please. I hope to see you there.

More info on the move to B Chord: This is our new permanent home for this jam. They have the right facility (it's big and comfortable) , great food, craft brew, and, most of all, they have a great attitude toward our kind of music and there are always musicians hanging out there.

No other facility that I have looked at has the right stuff for a jam (bad acoustics, tight space, uncooperative, etc.). B Chord is the right place and B Chord WANTS US THERE! Thanks to Marty Dougherty (co-owner) and Erik Burnham (Music director) for working this out for us!
