Friends of the Conant Public Library Holiday Craft Fair All the crafts are handmade, and the fair also features a bake sale and lunch.

The Friends of the Conant Public Library Holiday Craft Fair is held annually, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, at Houghton and Chocksett schools on Boutelle Road in Sterling.

2026 Craft Fair Vendors Wanted! Applications are now being accepted for Friends of the Conant Public Library Holiday Craft Fair, being held on November 21, 2026 at Chocksett and Houghton Schools in Sterling from 9 am to 2 pm.

Due to increased vendor interest and a higher volume of shoppers, the fair is expanding to 74 booths this year. Close to 700 shoppers attended in 2025. The fair will be advertised online and in local newspapers, and with posters and roadside signs.

The application deadline is April 15, 2026. Crafters will be selected by a rolling jury process, and all items must be handmade. The fair is typically booked before the deadline, so apply early.

Applications are available on the Conant Public Library’s website, https://sterlinglibrary.org/friends-of-the-library/ or printed applications are available at the front desk of the Conant Public Library, 4 Meetinghouse Hill Road, in Sterling center.

Thank you all for a wonderful Craft Show, we had a great turnout at our new location! Thank you to our vendors, our bakers and volunteers for all their hard work! Crafter Raffle prize winners will be called on Monday with pickup at the library. We look forward to seeing you next year, mark your calendars for November 21, 2026!

What does it mean to support Conant Public Library when you attend our Holiday Craft Show? Your $2 admission, as well as your purchases at our lunch cafe, cheese table, and bake sale all goes directly to their Youth Summer Reading program. This program is the biggest recipient of Friends funding, and is more popular than ever, with 453 kids participating in the summer of 2025!

Where else is the Friends of the Library funding going? Ancestry.com, Wowbrary and BookPage, as well as eMaterials. Museum passes are also a large part of what the Friends contribute: Davis Farmland, Ecotarium, Museum of Fine Arts, New England Botanical Garden, The Butterfly Museum, the Discovery Museum, the American Heritage Museum, and the Massachusetts Parks Pass. Friends also fund other programs including the Seed Library; Book Bingo; Felting; Color Analysis; and Historic Houses of Sterling.
