Steamboat Cabaret

Steamboat Cabaret Steamboat Spring Arts Council's 35th annual Cabaret opens at the Chief Theater on May 11, 12 & 13. Local to the core, a Steamboat favorite that sells out!

Local to the core, we have added performances this year. Cabaret is a live, comedic and politically incorrect performance full of talent with the main goal to make people LAUGH! The Arts Council supports the arts and culture of our town and collaborates with the tried and true Steamboat businesses. We believe, like our sponsors do, that having a vibrant arts community is important to the soul of a

town. Your support of Cabaret and the Arts Council brings educational programs, workshops and collaborating artists to the community, impacting lives and cultivating creativity.

I work for an amazing community organization called Steamboat Creates. We manage public art, kids classes, First Friday ArtWalk, Steamboat Cabaret and stewardship of a historic Art Depot and Caboose (among other things).

Today is Colorado Gives Day, a day of giving to nonprofits that make a difference. By giving where we live, we make public art possible. We make art possible. In the mindset of creativity, everything is possible. Thank you for supporting our busy year of creativity for our community and visitors. It couldn’t happen without YOU!

AFFORDABLE STUDIO SPACE FOR CREATIVES

Hello Creatives!

There have been some exciting new developments happening with the property behind the Depot Art Center. A private developer is in talks to purchase the land. The current vision is for storage units with affordable studio spaces incorporated into the design of one of the buildings.

The studio spaces are currently are envisioned on the upper floor of the warehouse-style building with studios off a common hallway and a big deck facing Mount Werner. The space would have elevators.

The attached survey is to help determine need, quantity and any specific amenities that might be needed. As you fill this out, please provide as much detail as possible (for example commercial sink but can be communal). If you would like to send additional information, please email [email protected]

Feel free to share the survey with anyone who might be interested. Thank you!

“Over the past five years, the city and chamber have become increasingly supportive of arts and culture, thanks in part to a better understanding of the economic impact that the arts have on the community.”
