Katria and Ungar were married in July of 2015, and their union would never have been if those Geneseo students had not made it through the horrors they faced in 1985. Jeff and Mara became acquainted after the ‘eyes and ears of the campus’ (aka J. Jeff) himself graciously agreed to share his notes as the backbone of the movie’s screenplay in 2009. The rest, as they say, is history, but Jeff describes it best when he mentions that this seems to be a story that “wants to be told...”
