✨Lots of photos in the stories and plenty more to come later this evening. Just wanted to come up for air for a moment and give a virtual hug to everyone who was part of this weekend.
This was one of my favorite moments from the festival, with closing things out on Sunday evening.
It also features .amor.ales , who I met when she came through Manny’s from NYC a few months ago with .roots , who was DJing that weekend. Carolina arrived last Wednesday to begin a pretty ambitious project // building a dome out of reclaimed cardboard that would house an immersive projection installation throughout the festival.
A few things presented challenges, including the weather. Through it all, Carolina kept her spirits high as we worked together to find ways to bring the vision to life.
I can’t tell you how much joy it brought me when we pivoted and found a way to showcase her otherworldly projections at the end of the weekend. The visuals were projected onto the sunshade that Rory custom-built for the stage, and it ended up feeling like the absolute perfect way to close out the festival. The story within the story. ❤️❤️❤️
