Susie Utz is the mom of two boys and has resided in Starkville for 6 years. She has a wonderful heart for helping others, both in the Starkville community and working with children with special needs. Susie’s son, Jonathan, is a 13-year-old boy that has had a medically complex undiagnosed condition since birth. He was finally diagnosed with an extremely rare progressive neurological condition call
ed STXBP1 about a year ago. This condition causes abnormal movements, seizures, developmental delays, plus a variety of other medical conditions. Jonathan has recently started experiencing a rapid decline in his overall health. Within the last month, he was hospitalized due to having more seizures and a decline in feeding skills requiring surgery to receive a feeding tube. Jonathan is now requiring more medical care, equipment and supplies and not all the supplies are paid for by his insurance. We are having this fundraiser to give Susie some financial relief for anything she needs now, along with anything that arises in the future.
