Yes. This is Hazel Green Kentucky! Flags, flowers, and friends. The cloudy skies and surprise Torrential Rains didn't stop the fun. People came from Lexington, Mt Sterling, London-Ky, and Wi******er to celebrate and participate with local motorcycle enthusiasts in the Celtic Ride Through the Eye of the Dragon. Special thanks to Wolfe County Tourism for sponsorship and Janet Williams for additional Eye of the Dragon prizes, C&C Grocery for AWESOME pizza and drinks, and fantastic music by our yodeling cowgirl, Phoebe White who came in from Nashville the night before. Cheryl Morris, Patti Day and so many other people in Hazel Green who helped make it happen, We Love You!... AND... if you didn't know, the Wolfe County Public Library has a Huge Dragon that has been hanging out in the lobby! Go get your picture taken with the Dragon and let Donna Brewer and staff help you search your roots. You are probably Celtic too!!

We didn't get to do the Nada Tunnel Run this year but the Rugged Red Trail Half Marathon is Back! Get here on September 25th 2021. This could just be the best run yet. 13.1 miles of running through woods, creeks and beautiful sandstone arches. There's no place like it. Snowy day in the mountains. Looks like a good day to run inside. Roads are still good for a drive through the Nada Tunnel and Red River Gorge. and Just stay safe.

Lucky to still be able to do the things I love with those I love. Taking down another old building to save a little history and create another special place. Fall Colors are really Gorgeous in Rugged Red Country and in case you ever had any doubt, even at age 77, I love working and playing in the great outdoors. Be safe and keep on keeping on! I am.

If you haven't sent in your pictures yet, or confirmed on run sign up that you did the Nada Tunnel 8K- Your Way, please do so. T-shirts will start going out soon! Because of Covid 19, very few fun runners got in this year. Registration will be re-opening soon for a Virtual Rugged Red so if you're up to the challenge and want to earn a 2020 "No Stopping Me, Covoid-19!"
