Let me introduce to you the Lincoln County Fair, Inc. We are a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving and promoting agriculture and old fashion family traditions. We are planned and conducted according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture regulations for the use of state funds. We are also very proud to work with the Kentucky Association of Fa

irs & Horse Shows. We have 22 Directors and Representatives and over 200 volunteers. We strive to be the best County Fair we can be by providing many family oriented activities and events. We value community pride, unselfish service, and fairness in all of our dealings. We are very proud of our grounds, our fair, and other events we have throughout the year. We are committed to use every means in our power to entertain our fair attendee with the hope that you feel you have attended the greatest County Fair ever. With that being said I would like to take this opportunity to invite you and your family to try and join us for good family fun, entertainment, and food. 🎡The Team Behind the Tradition 🎡

Over the next few weeks, we’re excited to introduce the incredible directors and volunteers who help make the Lincoln County Fair possible each and every year🎡

From early mornings and late nights to planning events, organizing exhibits, supporting youth, and keeping fair traditions alive — these dedicated individuals work year-round to bring our community together.

Meet Brett Curlis — Secretary of the Lincoln County Fair 🎡

Brett joined the Fair Board in 1994 and has served in several leadership roles over the years including Chairman of Truck & Tractor Pulls, Director of Motorsports, and Director of Youth & Sporting Events. He currently serves as Secretary for the Fair Board and also serves on the state-level Little Miss & Mister and Audit Committees.

Some of Brett’s favorite fair memories include late nights riding bumper cars after the carnival closed and spending time at the track with friends sharing stories after events ended 🏁

When it comes to fair food, his favorites are the deluxe cheeseburger from the Lincoln County Fair concession stand and a funnel cake from the midway 🍔🎡

Thank you, Brett, for your years of dedication and leadership helping make the fair a tradition our community loves! 👏

Over the next few weeks, we’re excited to introduce the incredible directors and volunteers who help make the Lincoln County Fair possible each and every year🎡

From early mornings and late nights to planning events, organizing exhibits, supporting youth, and keeping fair traditions alive — these dedicated individuals work year-round to bring our community together.

Meet Michael Poynter — Director of Grounds & Facility Improvements for the Lincoln County Fair🎡

Michael joined the Fair Board in 1988 when the current fairgrounds location first opened. Over the years, he has served in many leadership roles including Director of Youth Events, Track Events, Special Events, Promotions, Vice President, and Treasurer.

He currently serves as Director of Grounds & Facility Improvements and is also the KAFHS Zone 3 Director, with plans to become 2nd Vice President in January 2027.

One of his favorite fair memories is spending evenings after truck pulls sitting at the track with the Motorsports Committee, reminiscing and sharing stories together 🏁

And when it comes to fair food, the deluxe hamburger is his top pick 🍔

Meet Shana Hurt— Director of Commercial Exhibits, Ground Rentals, and Special Attractions for the Lincoln County Fair 🎠

Shana has been part of the Fair Board for around 20 years and has served as a director for 3 years. She’s been attending the fair since the Harmon Heights days, making the fair a lifelong tradition and special part of her life.

Her favorite fair memories are the moments shared with her mother, and when it comes to fair food, funnel cakes are her go-to favorite 🎡🍰
