The Reagan Years (80's tribute band)-Saturday, November 7th at 7 PM
The Tallis Scholars (Classical Choral)-Sunday, December 6th at 7 PM
Ceylon y su Charanga (Afro-Cuban band and dancers)-Friday, February 12th at 7 PM
Danù (Irish Traditional)-Saturday, March 6th at 7 PM

This Thursday, March 5th at 7:00 PM, bring your family to hear the SMCM Orchestra and special guest narrator Hillary Howard perform Sergei Prokofiev's beloved "Peter and the Wolf" , and other selections by Mendelssohn, Enesco, and Piazzolla.
Hillary Howard is a longtime DC journalist who hosts the morning news and politics show “Sunrise on the Hill” . She also hosts “It's Academic,” the world's longest-running TV quiz show. Her local career is highlighted by award-winning reporting at Fox5 and WTOP Radio where she anchored afternoons for 16 years.
This concert is FREE and open to the public.

A glimpse into our chaos management system.
Here is a portion of our 4'x6' planning calendar that we use to coordinate the myriad of events we host in the Dodge PAC. The yellow boxes indicate Concert Hall events, orange indicate Recital Hall events, and the white is for Lobby events.
While some of these are confirmed, many are not, so don't grab your calendars and start jotting dates and times down!
Yes, some things are redacted because we always will have surprises up our sleeves!
Also, keep in mind that there are many, many activities that are not reflected on this planner. These only indicate events that require a specific setup, audio-visual support, or other support other than what is normally required on a day to day basis.
Bonus points to anyone who can identify the three groups at the bottom of the photo!

Finish up that leftover turkey and get over to the Dodge Performing Arts Center for two holiday-filled music presentations by the SMCM Orchestra on Friday evening, and the St. Mary's Singers with St. Marie's Choral Arts on Saturday afternoon.
Both of these concerts are FREE, no tickets needed.

Monday mornings at the Dodge PAC are typically spent ironing out technical kinks we experienced over the weekend and walking through the Concert and Recital Halls looking for....um....anomalies.

Only found one today. Must not let Buddy the Elf find any free goodies in our venues!

The Dodge Performing Arts Center Coffee House Concerts give students the opportunity to perform in and run tech for live concerts. For our premier concerts, students work along side our professionals and gain valuable experience in a state of the art venue with world class artists.

On one side of the Dodge Performing Arts Center, we are working on scheduling and mixing last Friday evening's SMCM Jazz Concert.
On the other side, we are finishing the set for this week's musical production, String.
It is non-stop at the Dodge PAC this week with four musical performances intermingled with an Open House and sold-out String Queen's concert!
