The weather apps indicate next Saturday will be a glorious day for EcoTones Concerts @ Madison Square Park on Sat. June 6 from 2:00-4:00!

18 members of the EcoTones Ensemble will play in small groups along a Music Trail through the park, premiering 5 new compositions by EcoTones founder & cellist Jody Redhage Ferber inspired by the park's 5 notable horticultural collections: Red Buds, Hydrangeas, Daffodils, Witch Hazels, and Camellias. EcoTones' signature style in a transition zone between classical chamber music and jazz improvisation will be on full display with performances by an all-star cast of musical collaborators:
vibraphonist Chris Dingman, flutist Jessica Schmitz, bassoonist Atao Liu, multi-reedist Ben Kono, trumpeter Michael Dudley, trombonist Alan Ferber, guitarist Jesse Lewis, bassist Adam Chilenski, percussionist Rogerio Boccato, percussionist Glenn Schloss, vocalist Gino Sitson, PhD, violinist Sara Caswell, violinist Lady Jess, violist Orlando Wells, cellist Jody Redhage Ferber, and alphorn/french horn trio Thomas Jöstlein, Tricia Jostlein, and Barbara Jostlein Curry. The Music Trail concludes with a convergence of all 18 musicians and audience on the park's Oval Lawn for a joyful large ensemble set celebrating the interconnectivity of humans + park flora & fauna, and our belonging together in this precious urban green space.

We are thrilled to bring the 'Beings of the Air 'concert to the grounds of Lyndhurst in Tarrytown, NY on Sunday, Aug 3 from 3:00-5:00, featuring an afternoon of music celebrating the nonhuman flying residents of the stunning Lyndhurst grounds, birds traveling the breathtaking flyway of the Hudson River on which Lyndhurst is perched, and the pollinating insects now thriving in Lyndhurst’s newly unveiled native plant garden.

Featuring Grammy-nominated improvising violinist Sara Caswell, acclaimed vocalist & guitarist Camila Meza, and cellist & composer Jody Redhage Ferber, the EcoTones: Beings of the Air concert melds the melodic beauty of classical chamber music with the joy and energy of jazz improvisation. Please visit ecotonesconcerts.org for more information.

This event will begin at 3:00 pm with a tour of the grounds surrounding the overlook where the concert will take place. The tour will explore the native garden around the platform that was designed by Hudson Valley landscape artist Paula Hayes, the history of the lower landscape, and other native plants that reside here on the property. At 4:00 pm, the concert will begin on the platform overlooking the Hudson River.

There will also be ice cream available for purchase!
Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children.
