Most people hear "outdoor wedding" and picture a backup plan taped together at the last minute.

That's not how our patio works. It's covered and heated, so it's not a tent someone threw up because the forecast looked bad. It's part of the actual space, built to work whether it's 70 and sunny or a little colder than you planned for.

You get the indoor-outdoor flow without gambling on the weather two weeks out.

If your ceremony starts at 4, your day starts a lot earlier than that.

Hair and makeup for a full wedding party usually needs 4–5 hours before the ceremony. That number changes fast depending on how many people are getting ready.

Whether you're doing a first look or not changes your entire photo schedule, so that decision needs to happen early, not the week of.

Vendors need load-in time too, usually a couple hours before guests start arriving.

And we always recommend building in more buffer than feels necessary. Trust us, you'll use it.

We don't lock you into a preferred vendor list here, so you get to bring in the photographer who already gets your style. That flexibility only helps if you know what to ask before you sign anything.

Most couples spend more time picking a caterer than picking the person documenting the entire day.

Ask to see a full gallery from one real wedding, not just the highlight reel. It tells you a lot more about consistency.

Ask if coverage is full-day or hourly, and whether they've shot at your venue before or plan to visit ahead of time. Someone who already knows the light and the layout tends to get better results.

Ask about their backup plan if they get sick, and how many photos you'll actually get and how fast.

None of this is about being difficult, it's just the stuff that's easy to forget when you're excited.

Whoever you end up bringing through our doors, these are worth asking first.

A Thursday or Friday wedding means your vendors aren’t splitting attention across three other events that weekend, your guests aren’t choosing between your day and someone else’s, and you get more room to set up exactly how you pictured it.
