Gator Jazz Enterprise is a jazz promotion firm . Our mission is to raise the awarenest of jazz music, its history, and the artist that create the music. Over the years it’s been a blessing to produce and promote some of the worlds most gifted artist such as Najee, Pieces of Dream, George Howard, Will Downing, Spyra Gyra, Wayman Tisdale, Walter Beasley, Alex Bugnon, Lou Rawls, Gladys Knight, Kim Waters, Jon Lucien, Phil Perry, Marion Meadows, Rhon Lawrence, Ken Navarrow , Chuck Leob , Jonathan Butler and many more.

The name Gator came from a nickname given to me by my brother when I was a very young. He called me Wally Gator after the TV cartoon character . Well the name stuck with me. I dropped the Wally and all my friends call me Gator.

During my younger days I was a vocalist in a soul band. Music has been a big part of my life from the time I was in grade school until today. Instead of continuing playing in a band, now I booked artist to play for jazz fans.

Gator Jazz was started in June of 1995. The first artist or group we booked was Pieces of a Dream. The venue was the Hukelau Dinner Theater We developed a great working relationship until the owners decided to closed the business and go into another direction. Now we are engaged with the City Stage in Springfield MA . Walter Beasley will be the first artist on this journey .
