One of the things we care deeply about at Bloom & Blossom is creating space to gather well.✨

✨Space for good conversation.
✨Space for new ideas.
✨Space to connect with women who understand the season you’re in.

This year’s gathering will be a little smaller, giving us more room for meaningful conversations, connection, and purposeful growth.

We’re excited to welcome Stephanie Hathaway Designs back as a vendor and sponsor for our February gathering, and we’re grateful for the ways our vendors help make the day what it is.

“We see our own stories differently when we have women beside us who understand the chapter we’re in.”

There is comfort in knowing that the story we’re living is one other women understand, too.
There is something grounding about sharing the same chapter with women who understand its beauty and its weight.
Sometimes, simply being understood can change the way we experience the season we’re in.

Women who know the beauty and the weight of motherhood. Who understand the ordinary days, the long seasons, the questions, the stretching, and the joy of building a life around our children.

Because home education is kind of chic—not because it’s easy or idyllic, but because of the way it transforms you. It sanctifies the ordinary, stretches you, humbles you, and teaches you to see beauty and purpose in the everyday.

It was never meant to be simply “school at home.” It’s the beautiful work of weaving learning through wonder, relationship, conversation, experience, curiosity, and the slow, sacred work of becoming.

That’s what we’ll be gathering around at Bloom & Blossom Conference, our 8th annual conference.

A little reintroduction:
I’m a homeschool mom, book lover, coffee drinker, and perpetual trip planner.

I love slow mornings, big adventures, meaningful conversations, and making ordinary days memorable.

I loved this conversation on Coffee with Carrie! I especially enjoyed this particular conversation with Carrie as we unpacked the gentle versus rigorous home education debate and talked about what those approaches can really look like in our homes.

Carrie has a way of making you feel like you’re sitting down with a mentor, a mom, and a friend who genuinely wants to do life alongside you. She has such a variety of episodes, and I’m always learning something new from her. Definitely give her a follow and check out her books—her newest, A Home Education Handbook, is one of my very favorite books. ☕️

Home education is kind of chic-not because it’s easy or idyllic, but because of the way it transforms you. It sanctifies the ordinary, stretches you, humbles you, and invites you to become the kind of mother who sees beauty and purpose in the everyday. It’s hard and joyful, exhausting and deeply rewarding. And it was never meant to be simply “school at home.” It’s the beautiful work of building a life where learning becomes the thread woven through wonder, relationship, conversation, experience, curiosity, and the slow, sacred work of becoming.

And that’s what we’ll be exploring at Bloom & Blossom: motherhood and home education, practical tips and encouragement, and the beauty of embracing the chapter and season of motherhood you’re in.

✨ Ways to Sprinkle a Little Whimsy into Your Homeschool ✨

Chase curiosity whenever it appears. Sometimes the best lessons are the ones you never planned.

Read where the breeze can turn the pages-under a tree, on a blanket, or beside a creek.

Build little rituals that make ordinary days feel special: tea in tiny cups, candlelit read-alouds, fresh flowers on the table, or Friday picnics.

Let the seasons shape your days with nature walks, wildflower bouquets, poetry, and baskets of nature treasures collected outdoors.

Pause for wonder. Watch a caterpillar, follow a line of ants, listen for birdsong, chase the sunset, or stargaze.

Keep beautiful invitations within reach-watercolors, field guides, magnifying glasses, maps, and books that spark imagination.

Make room for imagination with forts, fairy gardens, dress-up days, and stories that come to life.

Happy July 1st! ☀️

For many of us here in Missouri, today marks the beginning of a brand-new homeschool year.

Whether you homeschool year-round, follow a traditional school calendar, or move in rhythms of intervals and breaks, I hope this year meets you with grace, growth, and authentic joy.

May you find beauty in slowing down.
May your conversations be deep and life-giving.
May your learning be filled with joy.
May your home be a place where curiosity, wisdom, and connection flourish.

Here’s to another year of learning and wonder.✨

And in many ways, that’s the education your children will remember most.✨

The last Bloom and Blossom Conference reminded me again: gathering matters.

There’s something that happens when homeschool mothers sit in the same room and we see each other—and in that, we start to see ourselves a little more clearly. We remember we’re not walking this alone.

Things soften. The pace of life slows. And there’s space to notice what matters most again in the way we’re shaping and cultivating our days.

That’s really what I’m trying to create again this year.

Rooted in motherhood and the stories that shape us, Bloom & Blossom Conference returns as our 8th conference—an all-day gathering for mothers to pause the rush of life and step into something deeper.

This year feels like a turning of the page. We’re growing, stretching, and stepping into a new chapter together:
Her Story Book: Once Upon a Mother
where every mother’s story is seen, honored, and reimagined with fresh perspective and new possibility for what is becoming.

This is more than a conference. It’s an intentional space for encouragement and real-life support in motherhood and home education—laying down what feels heavy, remembering who you are beneath all the roles, and getting practical help for your days at home as you continue shaping and cultivating your family life.

You can expect honest stories, practical teaching, and meaningful connection.

If this feels like a space you’d want to be part of, I’d love to have you there.
