Now that the 2026 World Champion Squirrel Cook Off is in the books, Cook Off founder Joe Wilson isn't slowing down for a second!

☀TV ANNOUNCEMENT: Joe is filming the remainder of his very first season of “Meet Joe Wilson” for the Outdoor Channel! The show airs next fall, and Episode 1 will showcase this year’s Cook Off at the Ozark Highlands Nature Center. Keep an eye out—many of y'all who attended will probably make the cut!

ℹNEXT UP: Joe Wilson and Joe Martinez are currently getting their Cadillac Gambler car rigged up to race in Ozark, Arkansas next weekend!

Do these guys ever do normal things? Probably, but definitely not in public.

We were completely blown away by the crowd this weekend! Because of the overwhelming turnout, our official event shirts and almost all of our hats COMPLETELY SOLD OUT at the Ozark Highlands Nature Center.

We’ve never offered event merchandise after the Cook Off before, but so many of y'all asked that we decided to open up a special post-event batch.

🔥 BACK-TO-BACK CHAMPION CROWND! 🔥

The World’s Hottest Squirrel Contest did not disappoint, and Eric Cline proved once again why he’s the king of heat! Coming in with a full support crew, Eric powered through the burn to defend his title and take home the crown for the second year in a row! 🏆🐿️

This wasn't just any squirrel—this whole smoked squirrel was masterfully prepared by local pros Baum B Q, then loaded with locally grown “Super Hots” from pepper-eating champion Firey Red, and doused in 4 whole bottles of hot sauce ranging from 2 MILLION to over 13 MILLION Scoville units! 🥵🔥

It was no walk in the park either—2nd place was right on his tail the entire time! A massive shoutout to all 10 brave contestants who stepped up to the table and risked it all for the glory.

For his epic victory, Eric walked away with an awesome Umarex prize package, $200 cash, the official championship trophy, and ultimate bragging rights for another year! 💥

Yesterday was one for the history books, and it’s all because of Y'ALL! We couldn't ask for better spectators, families, and outdoor lovers showing up to support the World Champion Squirrel Cook Off.

A huge shoutout to every single one of our 27 cook teams. In the absolute heat of competition, every team stepped away from their cookers to talk, answer questions, share recipes, and make conversation with the public. That true community spirit is what this event is all about! ☀🇺🇸
