How to give you all an update...
there's the quick relatively empty response and then there's the deeper complex response...this will probably be a little of both.
First
I am much better. The Bell's Palsy symptoms have improved so much. No more eating, speaking problems, I can blink and look relatively back to normal (not 100%, as my 4 year old would say when asked " not quite mama". But I'll take it.
Now come my eye issues...they are complex....
and after neurologist and Ophthalmologists appointments...I am left with this is my new normal. What that means that after 20 years of not needing glasses for far a way (I had lasik), I'm needing them. Glasses help that part and corrects to roughly 20/20. What that number doesn't represent is that the cornea has some damaged spots, that aren't correctable. That is my new normal. It is not as noticeable far away but up close, I am learning to adapt and retrain how to see.
So this is my 3rd time in life retraining my eyes, I've done it before, I am doing it again.
Emotionally it is harder, but that is life adapt...adapt...and survive....And my lymes symptoms are manageable, after initial 4 weeks doxycycline, and countless herbs, protocols, etc I am still currently doing acupuncture and an herbal protocol...
It's been a hellva ride...which has shook up things mentally, physically, and spiritually...which I feel God has put in front of me for a reason. ..and I have faith that I am on the right path...
Thank you everyone who has prayed, sent healing thoughts, donated to gofundme, bought shirts. This bizarre and fascinating Facebook world can bring out the good, thanks folks for being an incredible community.

Hello all!

First off, thank you so much to all for your financial support and prayers.
Slowly but surely, Amy is on the mend. She has been to multiple
specialists, sent through a ton of tests, and the prognosis is the same:
hurry up and wait. While most of the symptoms of the Lyme's disease are
slowly subsiding, her eye remains damaged. Hopefully it will heal
eventually. The Bells Palsy will heal in time, but again more time. Until
then, Amy eagerly awaits the time when she can return to her work and
independence. Your donations ensure her family's security during this time.

Keep praying, and we'll try to post more updates as information becomes

Lymes/Bells Palsy Update:

#1: Thank you everyone for all your kindness and support during this time. My family and I appreciate every thought, prayer, and donation you all have given❤
#2: Health update is positive, not as fast as this anxious lady ideally wants, but is slowly improving.
While utilizing numerous avenues of treatment, my acute lymes symptoms are much better. Blood work shows improvement of liver function and lower inflammation, yet elevated white blood count remains. I now am mainly dealing with fatigue, short term memory loss, brain fog, and the Bell's Palsy symptoms of ear, neck, head pain, Facial paralysis, and vision loss in left eye.
And more emotional toll than I would have thought. We all have vanity, but am humbled to have my face that I have seen in the mirror so...altered...
And opening my eyes and not able to see normally... is harder mentally than I would like to admit...
Prognosis: Ophthalmologist is waiting 3 more weeks. If not mostly improved in 3 weeks, he believes I will probably be in the 6 month club of healing. If so, he would recommend surgery to keep eye closed due to my unique eye history.
I will continue treatments in all areas as possibly...it's what I can control...what I can DO about this. The rest is...time...
What a strange fall... How very quickly things can change...be grateful for everything...Again, thank you very much community for all your support. I am blessed to be surrounded by good people In gratitude ~Amy

Our daughter Amy is having a very serious health issue.

Great stuff happening Here in North West Wisconsin!

What mushrooms can we expect to find at the Barronett Tri-County Foray?

We are hoping to find baskets of lots of wonderful species like this Black Trumpets which are commonly considered a choice gourmet edible. These are incredibly fragrant, and wonderful for use in many culinary dishes.
