Agriculture is a big deal! Today, and all days, the Washburn County Fair celebrates our farmers, who make up 2% of the population but provide 100% of the population with food.

Everyone that stopped by education table and made a mushroom cup on Saturday at the fair your cups should be fruiting oyster mushrooms now .

Someone will be in the Fair Office tomorrow from 10:00 until noon if anyone wants to stop and grab their projects and/or lost and found items.

The Washburn County Junior Livestock Show & Sale

The fair office will be open this Saturday morning from nine-ten for you to pick up your lost items and or forgotten projects.
Please respond so we know if you are able to be there.

We really do have a great community! In celebration of America’s 250th birthday the Washburn County Fair held a contest for birthday bag decorating. You decorated the outside of a brown paper bag in a birthday theme. Filled the bag with things you would need for a birthday party. Cake mix, frosting, candles etc. the bags were judged and winners announced at the fair. We got a whopping 125 bags! All of the bags were donated to the food pantry, Lakeland family resources and the library so families in need could have a birthday party for a kid.
