The submissions are in, and choosing a final finisher design for Bloomsday 2027 was no small task. Every year, our team is deeply moved by the incredible creativity, time, and talent that goes into every single piece submitted.

While the official design has been chosen, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the passion behind these submissions by sharing a few of our personal favorites.

Great runners are raised by great communities, and each year, Spokane rallies behind their top high school athletes through Team Bloomsday.

Team Bloomsday sponsors 36 of the the top high school runners across Greater Spokane, sending the top two girls and boys, to represent our region at the Brooks West XC Championships. These young athletes pour their hearts, dedication, and endless discipline into earning their spots on the start line.

While Team Bloomsday covers the foundation of this trip, it is the generosity of our local community that makes it truly possible. To ensure these student-athletes can compete on a regional stage, community donations directly cover their essential travel expenses:

At Bloomsday, the incredible energy along the 7.46-mile course is powered by the talented local musicians and bands lining our streets! 🎷🎸

From brass ensembles to rock bands, these performers volunteer their time to give runners that extra boost, especially when tackling the hills. We are deeply grateful for the local artists who bring Spokane's vibrant community spirit to life every spring.

At the start of August, we reopened the donation portal for the Riverside State Park Foundation to in light of the wildfires.

Our goal was to raise $5000. With your support, we raised over $7000. On behalf of the Lilac Bloomsday Association, we want to thank everyone for their incredible generosity in Spokane's time of need. Your support is proof once again that Spokane shows up for its own. Thank you!

As we turn the page to October 1st, spooky season is officially here, and with that comes Halloween costumes! One of our favorite Bloomsday traditions is seeing the incredible creativity, spirit, and sense of fun our runners bring to the course each year through their costumes.

It is never too early to start preparing, and staying consistent is the secret to a strong finish.
