In Hillyard, where dreams quietly dwell,
Amongst the streets, the stories they tell.
A place where hope seems a bit too shy,
And the laughter of kids too often a sigh.

But here comes a group, hearts bold and kind,
With visions of change clearly outlined.
They gather, they plan, they reach out wide,
To turn the tides of fortune's rough ride.

Hillyard Fund Raisers bloom like flowers in spring,
Community's effort in everything.
The Pirate Pantry stocked real tall,
Diversity and equity for everyone and all.

For every child, a chance to rise,
To see the world with brand new eyes.
A future painted with brighter hues,
A path where no one has to lose.

Hillyard's heart begins to beat,
With every single accomplished feat.
The group, united, stands tall and proud,
Their mission clear, their voices loud.

"Here's to the kids," they joyfully say,
"For them, we'll make a better day."

They're changing lives, one child at a time.
