❄️ Winter Storage at the Fairgrounds is opening a little later this year!

Winter storage will open Monday, October 5, 2026.

If you’ve stored your items with us in previous years, you may notice that this is a change from our usual October 1 opening date. With the 2026 Clay County Fair running September 12–20, we need a few additional days after the Fair to clean out and prepare the buildings before we begin moving items inside.

And there’s something new for 2026!

We’re offering one Saturday drop-off date:
📅 Saturday, October 10
⏰ 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

So if weekdays are difficult for you, mark your calendar for October 10!

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we get the fairgrounds cleaned up and ready for another season of winter storage. Thank you for helping us make the transition from Fair season to storage season!

✨ Fair Brain may be over for 2026, but the numbers are in. 🧠🎡

A HUGE thank you to our exhibitors, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, employees, and of course, YOU — the fairgoers who showed up, participated, competed, cheered, ate, laughed, and made the 2026 Clay County Fair one to remember. 💙

Thank you for being part of it. We’ll see you next year! 🎡

Our Lost & Found is starting to look a little too much like a garage sale. 😅

📸 Check the photo in the comments to see what we currently have. What’s pictured is what we have — if you don’t see your missing item in the photo, unfortunately, we don’t have it.

If you spot something that belongs to you, give us a call at 712.580.3000 or stop by the Fair Office Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

⏰ Important: We’ll hold Lost & Found items for 30 days after the Fair. After that:
• Clothing, hats, gloves and similar items will be donated.
• IDs, credit cards and other sensitive items will be securely destroyed.
• Keys and other items that cannot be donated will also be disposed of.

So if something went missing at the Fair, now’s the time to check! We’d much rather reunite it with you than give it a new life elsewhere. 😉
