Our 48th annual Apple Butter Festival will have a Royalty Contest for 5- and 6-year-olds that attend Patricksburg Elementary School, Spencer Elementary School, McCormick's Creek Elementary School, and Gosport Elementary School. This is one of our service projects that supports Spencer-Owen Community Schools' teachers and their classrooms. Entry forms were sent to each school and are due 9/17. The contest will be held near the Spencer Lions Club tent on Main Street, Saturday September 20th, 9:30am.

We are excited to announce that Tony Kale will be our Spencer Lions Club Apple Butter Festival Parade Grand Marshal! Join us next Saturday September 20th 1:00pm all the way along Main Street in Spencer to welcome him. Parade questions/entries can be directed to Lion Jim Query at 812-829-4496.

As September has arrived the Spencer Lions Club's Apple Butter Festival is near.
We encourage those who love to bake to enter the Apple Butter Baking Contest on Saturday September 20th. Entries will be accepted between 9 am to noon at the Tivoli Theatre.
All entries must have Apple Butter as an ingredient. The recipe must be included with your entry.
Cash prizes for top 3 in each category.
Winners announced at conclusion of parade and winnings can be picked up from the Homemakers booth on Main Street.
