Holiday Sights and Sounds Holiday Light Show Synchronized to music!

03/17/2026

Hello All!! We just got back from an AMAZING event in Plant City, FL, and can't wait to get to work on our 2026 show!

The clip below is of Mike Williams as one of the speakers and he has really made me think about why we do what we do. It's great to receive gratitude and small tokens of appreciation for doing the light shows. That's all well and good. This weekend, however, has really shifted my focus to those that we DON'T hear from. Those that need signs or messages of hope and belief the most. Among others, the Hope Center for Children came to mind!

Enjoy the clip and get some tissues handy...

Good evening, one and all!

I hope this message finds all of you enjoying this most wonderful time of year.

We have started off with some delicious Halloween Hijinx and have now finished our time to reflect on the things we are most grateful for during Thanksgiving. Now we are deep into the reason for the season: Christmas! This season, let's be sure to appreciate, celebrate, and enjoy the people in our lives. Make fantastic memories with them. But most of all, remember the season is all about the birth of Christ.

We do regret to inform you that Holiday Sights and Sounds will not have our regular light show this year. Although the show will be dark, we look forward to celebrating this holiday season just as all of you will.

Thank you.

From our family, to you and yours, Happy Thanksgiving.

We are all busy throughout the year and with today's political environment, lifestyles, attitudes, and just life in general, it is too easy to grow further from our loved ones. Please take this day to actually enjoy being with your friends and family. Put away any and all differences and actually enjoy just being in each others company. Take this day as an opportunity to create that memory that you will remember for a lifetime.

Sincerely,
Chris Lotton

I know everybody is thawing their Cariah Marrey sequences and getting ready for this season of festivities. But, if you're looking for a little break or something new, Lindsey has added some new cities to her Snow Waltz tour this year. One may be near you!

Merry Christmas, Everyone! We hope everybody is with their friends and family and have arrived there safely. Be sure to nurture and create some great memories on your short visit. They are what will be remembered most for many years down the road.

We would like to take a second to apologize to all of you who came by to see the show. Although it has been running nightly, it has been running at a limited capacity. We have been struggling to work out all the kinks and have been doing what we can with limited resources. As of this afternoon, we think all of the software issues have been worked out and tomorrow we can concentrate on the hardware issues.

We have added a few more songs and will be running the show through January 5th. It runs nightly from 5-11 PM and you can listen on 107.7 FM or on your IOS or Android phone with https://pulsemesh.io/docs/topics/app or on the web: https://player.pulsemesh.io

Just a heads up.... We ABSOLUTELY want next years' show to go off without a hitch. While the show is all setup on the house we will be working past January 5th to make sure everything is running smoothly. How long that will take, we're not sure. But, please forgive us if the show is still up a little longer than normal.

Thank you,
Chris Lotton

Good morning, Neighbors!

It is crunch time around here, but I wanted to take a minute to give you an update on this years light show. As some of you may remember, we had a little incident a few years ago and things have been a little crazy ever since. We have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything is repaired and all the needed changes have been made.

With that being said, the show WILL go on! The major items that needed to be built were finished late last night (YAY!). Some may have noticed some small progress so far in the front yard, but we plan to take full advantage of the warm weather over the next few days. Every year we aim for Thanksgiving Night to start the show. We may be cutting it a little close this year, but know that we are working hard to make it happen. You can look forward to another great production soon!

Thanks for all your support over the years!

This project is a yearly video compilation showcasing animated Christmas lighting enthusiasts. Each year, a song is announced and anyone in the world is encouraged to sequence, film, and submit their display.

Today's nugget of goodness:

There are no FAA regulations for moving heads nor searchlights; only lasers.

I just got off the phone with Approach Control at my local airport. I told them about my interest in using moving heads in the show and my location from the airport (3.26 miles off the approach end of main runway). They said that they appreciated the heads up (I took that as a good sign that a little communication can go a long way) and that they should be no problem at all.

However, they did request that I call them closer to showtime. They will put out, what is called, a NOTAM (Notice To Airmen). It's simply a note about temporary conditions that pilots can be aware of. Anybody flying into, out of, or near the airport will be aware of the lights and not be surprised by them.

Also, while looking for any types of rules, laws, or regulations, I DID run across quite a few municipalities that required permits for searchlights. If you are using moving heads, I would check with your city or county and make sure they do not consider our moving heads searchlights. Be careful, though. Bureaucrats may not care about the distinction and just come for your wallet.

Good morning, one and all! Judging by the emails and messages we have been getting, many of you are interested in seeing the show this year. We have been holding off on any posts because, as much as we want to, we just didn't know if we could pull it off this year.

The good news is that the show is currently running nightly from 5-11; rain or shine! You can listen to the music on 107.7 FM. (I can pick up the broadcast on Reidville Rd., so my guess is that you can probably listen from anywhere in the neighborhood!)

We have just recently finished repairing and renovating the house. This has put us WAY behind on the light show. Ridiculously behind , in fact. This year we have decided to do what we can and are using this season as a test season. We will be working on the show every day, adding new features when we can, and working out all the bugs (there are a lot of bugs). Meaning that we will have the show running, but it will be nowhere near what it has been in the past; and nowhere near what it will be in the future. Although WE are disappointed that the show is not up to HSS standards, we have had nothing but positive feedback. So, please, stop by and enjoy the show.

Thank you for understanding,
The HSSUSC Team

P.S. - We do this solely for the community to enjoy. We are not a charity and we are not a business. We aren't even asking you to donate to the HOPE Center (https://hopecfc.org/) this year. Our only reward is to see the smiles on your faces. THAT is what makes it all worth it to us. So if you have pictures or videos of you and your family enjoying the show, please share them with us.
