BOUNCING into the NC Fried Apple Pie FESTIVAL Saturday from 9AM to 4PM at the Allehany County Fairground 1375 US Hwy 21 North - are you ready for it?!
Check out all the great bounce houses, obstacle courses and games we’ll have. Family fun, delicious pies and food, a huge selection of craft vendors and more! We’ll see you in Sparta TODAY!

It's festival week!
When you arrive at the fairgrounds (GPS: 1375 US HWY 21 N) Friday 5-9pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm, our parking volunteers will be on-site to efficiently direct you into a parking spot. Following their instructions will get you off the roadway and into the festival as quickly as possible.
We look forward to seeing you Saturday at the Fourth Annual Fried Apple Pie Festival.

The baking contest is held annually, and judged at the Black Building on Saturday. If you think you bake the best fried apple pie, be sure to enter (no fee to enter). Three pies are required along with an entry form. Think you'd like to be a Judge? PM us - we should need a few volunteers!

Last call for vendors — we have four craft vendor spots left. Once these are gone, we are sold out! There are no food vendor spaces left.

The 4th annual Fried Apple Pie Festival will look a little different for 2026. We are partnering with the Alleghany Historical Society to offer a tribute to Terry Choate, our own grammy winning native son! The festival will begin on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM and continue on Saturday May 2, 2026 at 9:00 AM. Music, entertainment for kids, a baking contest, an eating contest and lots of family fun will still be the same. Our vendor application can be found at this link:
