Chief Numaga was a great 19th century leader who had the courage and the vision to counsel against war.

As we look back on the songs, dances, handgames, laughter, and community that made last year’s Numaga Indian Days so special, we’re excited to share some of our favorite moments with you.

From the drumbeats and beautiful regalia to the friendly competition of handgames and the gathering of families and friends, Numaga Indian Days continues to celebrate and honor the traditions, cultures, and spirit of Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and the 3 Tribal Nations it represents, the Paiute, Washoe and Western Shoshone.
