Join us on Saturday, March 7, 2026 for the 59th Mid-South Military History & Civil War Show Speaker Series:

11AM—Colonel Arthur W. Oliver, USA, Ret., a VP with First Horizon
Bank in Memphis, who served as a Colonel in the Tennessee National Guard for 30 years. His topic “Birth of the Continental Army.”

Noon—Mark Hidlebaugh, a lifelong student of the Civil War with more than 40 years giving presentations and participating in living history events. His topic “Life of the Common Civil War Soldier.”

1PM—Dr. Curt Fields, a retired college instructor has researched
Ulysses S. Grant. He has portrayed the General and President Grant in first person in 22 states. His topic “When Grant Saved Lee.”

2PM—Shelby Harriel-Hidlebaugh, an instructor at Pearl River
Community College with a passion for history. Her topic “Women
Soldiers in Civil War Memphis.”

3PM—Colonel Mike Ellicott, USA, Ret., a Mechanical Engineer with a
love of history and former instructor at West Point. He has led tours at Gettysburg and Normandy. His topic “The WW2 Doolittle Raid.”

The 59th Mid-South Military History & Civil War Show will be open to the public on Friday, March 6 of 2026 from 1pm-6pm and Saturday, March 7 of 2026 from 9am-5pm at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Admission $10, two day pass $15 children 12 and under free. Free parking. More information Landerscenter.com. 901-832-4708.
