It started with an idea from one small business to do see if it could do something to show support for our local law enforcement, military, border patrol and fire fighters, and then along came the support of a host venue location, a presenting sponsor and several local RGV Small Businesses also wanting to support. We had about 100 runners over the two Saturdays... did we change the world, nope, BUT for moments in time, many were happy, loved and were shown support of our community. - Early packet picket Friday 8/27 night 6pm to 8pm Tropical Smoothie Cafe - South Padre Island located at 410 Padre Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597

- Day of packet pickup will start at 5:30am with the National Anthem at 7am and the run/walk to start 7:10 am

-Event Location: Coco Beach Hotel located at 2612 Gulf Blvd, South Padre Island, TX 78597

- Event PARKING: Coco Beach Hotel is at Beach Access #7 with limited parking, the next closest Beach Accesses with additional parking are Beach Access #6 (0.1 mile south) and Beach Access #9 (0.2 mile north). Public street parking is also available. Please take CAUTION to ONLY park in public parking spaces and not residential nor permitted permit parking spaces.

- Remember, this is a CUPLESS event, we don't want to litter with those little paper cups. Please bring your own cup or bottle. Water refill stations will be available.

- This is a rain or shine event. Weather may bring some morning showers, in the event that lightning occurs and is too close to the event, the event may need to be delayed or postponed for another day.

Shirts are in for everyone that registered prior to 8/15 & some after 😉 We’re adding an early packet pickup on Thursday, 8/16 from 5pm to 6:30pm in Donna, TX at our presenting sponsor Dargel Boats located at 4110 N. FM 493, Donna, Texas 78537. If you can’t make it on Thursday, packet pickup is day-of from 5:30am to 7am at Coco Beach Hotel on the 21st with the fun run/walk starting at 7:10am! Registration is still open but please note that last minute registrations may have shirts shipped to them after the event... don't worry, we have plenty of our beautiful lapel pins for all participants.
