Please note that the Valhalla Renaissance Faire agenda item for the Tahoe Paradise Park meeting has been rescheduled to June 2nd.

We are still asking for support from those who are able to attend and stand in favor of the faire and the positive impact it brings to the community year after year. Your presence and your voice matter, and they help demonstrate just how much Valhalla means to performers, vendors, patrons, families, and the community as a whole.

For three decades, Valhalla Renaissance Faire has endured because of the people who believe in it, build it, and keep its spirit alive. We hope you will continue to stand with us as we work toward another successful and magical season at Tahoe Paradise Park.

Once again, there will be a meeting at 5 PM at Tahoe Paradise Park regarding the future of Valhalla Renaissance Faire, and we are asking for your support. Your presence at the meeting would help demonstrate to the board just how much this event means to our community and to the many people who help bring it to life each year.

Unfortunately, neither Bill nor I are able to attend in person on such short notice, though Bill will be joining the meeting via Zoom. If you are local to the area or able to attend, we would deeply appreciate your voice in support of the faire and the positive impact it has brought to the community for nearly three decades.

Valhalla has endured because of the people who believe in it, build it, and breathe life into it. If you are able to stand with us at this meeting, it would mean more than words can say.

Hello All,
My name is April and I am your Volunteer Coordinator for both Valhalla Renaissance Faire and Folsom Renaissance Faire this year. I am asking for those that are planning to volunteer this year, to please send an email to [email protected] confirming what faire or faires you are able to volunteer at. Please remember that Valhalla will be at a new location, and will be one weekend. When responding, Please include which show you are volunteering, and your availability.
Valhalla will be August 15 and 16. W e are at a new site this year. We will need volunteers to help as early as August 13 thru August 17 2026.
Folsom will be September 26 and 27. We will need volunteers as early as September 24 2026.
We are asking our volunteers to help build our site. To sit gates, help with whatever is needed. We need as many hands as possible setting up and tearing down. We are not asking any of our volunteers to do anything we have not done before. We will feed you!!
We are looking forward to putting on 2 great shows this year.
I look forward to hearing from you all.

Hear ye, hear ye! The Valhalla Renaissance Faire has officially received approval — and we are thrilled to announce that the 2026 Valhalla Renaissance Faire will take place August 15–16 at beautiful Tahoe Paradise Park!

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who showed patience, kindness, positive energy, and overwhelming support throughout this process. The encouraging messages, thoughtful feedback, and goodwill sent to the park and community truly meant the world to us. We are deeply grateful for this incredible community and cannot wait to gather with you all once again beneath the pines this August.

Tickets will be going on sale in just a few days, so keep a close eye on our pages and website for the official announcement. Please note that attendance for this year’s event will be capped at 2,750 patrons per day as we work carefully with the venue and community to ensure a successful and enjoyable experience for everyone, with possible expansions in the future.

We are beyond excited to welcome you back to Valhalla for another weekend of magic, music, laughter, adventure, and faire family.

August cannot come soon enough.

Dear Valhalla Renaissance Faire Community,

We’re excited to share a major update for the 2026 Faire season!

We are currently in discussions with Tahoe Paradise Park about bringing the Valhalla Renaissance Faire to their beautiful venue this August. The park team has been incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about the possibility of hosting our beloved event.

Tahoe Paradise Park would love to hear directly from you — the patrons, performers, vendors, and supporters who make this community so special — about how much this event means to you and how much support there is for its return.

If you would like to see the Faire happen this year, please take a moment to send them a positive email expressing your support and excitement. Community feedback truly matters, and the more emails they receive, the better!

Please note that this venue would not include on-site camping accommodations. However, our event staff and security team will be present throughout the event to help maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for both attendees and neighboring residents.

Dear Valhalla Renaissance Faire Patrons,

We’re pleased to share an important update regarding this year’s event.

We have identified an great, potential location for the Valhalla Renaissance Faire in South Lake Tahoe vicinity and are planning to host the Faire there for a single weekend this year, August 15–16, pending final approval. We are currently in the process of filing the necessary paperwork and are working closely with local authorities to secure the required permits. If all goes well and this year’s event is successful, we hope to expand to two weekends next year.

Please note that the new venue is a park, not a campground. As a result, there will be no on-site camping, and parking will be limited. Similar to previous years, we will provide shuttle services to and from the Faire, though we anticipate using closer parking locations to improve convenience for all.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work through these final steps and look forward to sharing more details soon.

To Our Beloved Valhalla Renaissance Faire Community,

Tahoe Valley Campground recently informed us that they will no longer be able to host the Valhalla Renaissance Faire, as they are returning their focus to core camping operations. We want to be clear that this decision is not due to any actions or shortcomings on the part of the Renaissance Productions team or the event itself.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Tahoe Valley Campground for their partnership and hospitality over the years. They have been wonderful hosts, and we are truly thankful for the memories we’ve created together. While we had hoped this relationship would continue for many years to come, we respect their decision and will miss them dearly.

Are we cancelling the 2026 event?

We do not plan to, and are working quickly to ensure we go on as planned back in South Lake Tahoe. We know how deeply this gathering matters to all of you—our devoted patrons, talented performers, and valued vendors—and we are actively searching for a new home for our beloved show. We are currently in discussions with potential locations for this year’s event and will keep you informed as plans develop. We remain committed to finding the right fit and will share updates as soon as details are finalized.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this transition. Our commitment to this community remains steadfast, and we look forward to sharing what comes next.
