Meet Amy Banda, the artist behind Creative Corner! 👋

Amy has shared her love of art with hundreds of TKC kids over the years. She specializes in process-based art, which means she cares most about the experience of making: the squish of clay, the swirl of paint, the surprise of mixing two colors for the first time.

Each week, Amy sets out a fresh project with a couple of options, so every child can find their way in.

Little hands, big imaginations! 🎨 Creative Corner is back this fall, and Session 2 starts Thursday, November 5.

Our six-week art and sensory play class is for children ages 18 months to 5 years and the grown-ups who love them. Every Thursday brings a new project, new materials, and a new chance to explore together.

Let's get CREATIVE this Fall!
Do you know what Creative Corner is? 🎨 It's how The Community House responded to hearing parents like YOU express a need for quality creative time with your young children during the week.

Creative Corner an art and sensory play class at The Community House for little artists ages 18 months to 5 years. Each 60-minute class invites your child to explore paint, texture, color, and materials alongside you, in a friendly group setting where getting messy is encouraged.

Every week brings a new project with a couple of options to choose from, so no two Thursdays look the same.

📅 Session 2 begins Thursday, November 5
⏰ Thursdays at 10 am

Our dancers keep the energy pulsing through every scene change and showstopper, and the work that looks effortless on stage is anything but backstage. MEET THE STORYTELLERS BEHIND THE STORY 🎭✨
The cobbler's children often go without shoes, and the people who spend their lives telling stories rarely get to tell their own. So today, we're turning the spotlight around for just a moment. 💛

Here are three of our Stage 284 core director team. They're professional performers and directors who have dedicated their lives and their passion to storytelling on the stage. Every rehearsal, every costume fitting, every late night building a set comes from a deep belief in what theater can do for a community.

Their work comes to life across three production companies here at The Community House:
🌟 Main Stage for adults and multigenerational casts
🌟 Youth Company for grades 5–12
🌟 Rising Stars for grades 1–8

For the students who take part, Stage 284 is so much more than an after-school activity. It's an immersive theater experience where young performers build confidence, find their voices, and become part of something bigger than themselves. It is life altering.

And for those in the audience? That's where the magic happens. When this team tells a story, you feel it speaking directly to you. You see yourself in the characters. You laugh, you cry, and you walk out a little different than you walked in.

This is just a tiny glimpse into their story. Come see the rest on stage. 🎟️

WE hope that many of you will come and visit these young entrepreneurs, 50 of them, to support their businesses; they will be so happy to see you!
