We Back The Blue Fall Fest

It's the We Back The Blue Fall Fest Eve, and we are putting the final pieces in place today for a great event tomorrow at Panton Mill Park in South Elgin! A JP Classic Car Show....Live Music from three bands, including Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones kicking it off at 12:30...Cesaroni BBQ and Golden Eagle Hot Dog Food Trucks...RK's Bar and Grill with the cold beer and beverages...20 vendor booths...and most importantly, Law Enforcement and Veterans Stage Tributes! The Opening Ceremonies begin at 12 Noon with The American Legion Color Guard and Russell Hoke of Fox Valley Fine Arts singing the National Anthem. Our featured speakers during our opening ceremonies will include Kane County State's Attorney Jamie Mosser, and 2026 Kane County Sheriff's Candidate Rob Russell, and later in the day, you'll hear from Elgin Police Chief Ana Lalley and her cold case detectives....Kane County Undersheriff Amy Johnson with a Civilian Hero presentation....Kane County Sheriff Candidates Lou Santoyo and Salvador Rodriguez, and you'll be introduced to 105-year old World War 2 Veteran, 1st Lieutenant Bud! The Elgin Police Department will also be bringing their giant Bouncy for the kids to play! Come early and come often! We'll see you tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th!!!

We are now less than two weeks away from our annual South Elgin Fest! One of the key components of our festival is the awesome JP Car Show! John Pullaro puts on some awesome shows around the Fox Valley every Summer, and this weekend he's in charge of the car show at Heritage Days in West Dundee! Here are some of the cars from this weekend's event! I'm sure some of these cars will be at ours, which is brought to you by Wicked Wrench Company of South Elgin, a female owned and operated automotive repair shop!

Never forget what occurred on 9/11/2001. It was somber and sad day in American history! The City of Elgin held a remembrance ceremony last weekend, and I want to share some great photos from that event, taken by the great James Harvey, a veteran himself and a terrific, longtime local photographer. We will honor veterans and law enforcement at our event on Saturday, September 27th at Panton Mill Park in South Elgin and we hope to see you there. Opening ceremonies begin at noon! The event, featuring a great classic car show provided by JP Car Shows, along with live music, food, drink, and table vendors, will roll until 5:30! The Elgin Police Department bouncy house will also be on hand for the kids to enjoy!

Another great car show yesterday at Riverside Community Church in St. Charles! We're going to have one too! Make plans to come to our fest in less than three weeks at Panton Mill Park in South Elgin!

The music at our event on Saturday, September 27th is going to be outstanding and diverse! First, at 12:30, get in touch with your 50s and 60s Jukebox hits with the amazing Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones! From 2:30 until 4 pm, it's blue jeans rock and roll and more with Junkyard Groove, and then, Jimmy Nick goes wild and crazy with the blues from 4:45 until 5:30 and then from 7-9 pm at RK's Bar and Grill in South Elgin! Jimmy Nick will be joined by his Chicago blues band mates Kenny and Donte at RK's for a great finish to the day!
